About

New Skin Media is a cullmination of the collaboration between a few choice experts in both graphic design and web programming. The integrated and capable team of industry experts includes Melissa Crain (Principal, Owner) and Frank Rodriguez (Lead Designer, Branding Specialist) whose collaborations have produced a new standard for quality in the industry.

Melissa Crain has been designing websites professionally for over 7 years. She has a bachelor's degree in Physics from Sonoma State University where she concentrated in Astronomy. She established New Skin Media in 2006. Melissa has a strong background in graphic design as well as hands-on coding in html, css, javascript, php and more. As a member of the Media and Communications Advisory Committee for the Regional Occupational Program (ROP), she works with the Sonoma County Office of Education to assist teachers with keeping their advanced curriculums up to date.

Melissa is also an award-winning photographer. Photography is her passion, and also a second profession. She runs Arken Studios with her family shooting weddings, portraits and events. Her passion extends further having self-published her first book of fine art travel photography, Cyprus: In Photographs. She is currently working on her second book, a photographic essay and historical research project focusing on Victorian architecture in San Francisco.
