Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, deals with improving the number and/or quality of visitors to a website from the main listings in search engines (ie. not the sponsored links as in pay-per-click marketing). In essence, SEO is manipulating your website to "catch the eye", so to speak, of search engines to move it up in the ranking and put it towards the top of the list when someone looks up one of your search terms.
